Online Anxiety Counselling UK
Gentle, supportive therapy for anxiety and overwhelm
Anxiety can feel exhausting. It might show up as constant worry, overthinking, a sense that something isn’t quite right, or feeling on edge without fully knowing why.
You may find it hard to relax, switch off, or feel present in your day-to-day life. Even when things seem “fine” on the outside, anxiety can still feel very real on the inside. I offer online anxiety counselling across the UK, providing a calm and supportive space to explore what’s going on for you, at a pace that feels manageable.
How Anxiety Can Feel
Anxiety doesn’t look the same for everyone, but you might recognise some of these experiences:
Constant overthinking or racing thoughts
Feeling on edge or unable to fully relax
Difficulty sleeping or switching off
A sense of dread or worry about the future
Feeling overwhelmed by everyday situations
Physical symptoms such as tension, restlessness or a racing heart
Sometimes anxiety has a clear cause. Other times, it can feel like it’s “just there”, without a clear explanation.
Whatever your experience, it’s valid — and it’s something we can begin to understand together.
Online Counselling for Anxiety
Working online can make it easier to access support, especially if anxiety makes leaving the house or attending appointments feel difficult.
Sessions take place via Zoom, allowing you to join from a space where you feel safe and comfortable.
Many people find that online counselling:
Feels less pressured than in-person sessions
Is easier to fit around daily life
Allows for a greater sense of control
Creates a familiar, comfortable environment
What to Expect
Starting counselling can feel uncertain, especially if anxiety is already present.
Our first session is simply a space to talk about what’s been going on for you and to get a sense of whether working together feels comfortable.
You don’t need to have the “right words” or a clear plan.
We can begin wherever you are.
Anxiety and Deeper Experiences
For some people, anxiety can be connected to earlier experiences, such as:
Feeling unsafe or unsupported in the past
Difficult relationships
Trauma or overwhelming events
For others, it may be linked to things like ADHD, stress, or ongoing life pressures.
We can gently explore these connections if and when it feels right, helping you build a clearer understanding of your experience.
