ADHD Counselling Online UK
Support for overwhelm, burnout and feeling “too much” or not enough
Living with ADHD can feel overwhelming in ways that are hard to explain.
You might feel constantly “on the go” internally, while also struggling to get started or follow things through. At times, it can feel like your mind is racing, your energy is scattered, or everything becomes too much all at once.
I offer ADHD counselling online across the UK, providing a supportive space to better understand how your mind works and find ways of working with it, rather than against it.
How ADHD Can Feel
ADHD is often talked about in practical terms, but the emotional impact can be just as significant.
You might recognise:
Feeling overwhelmed by everyday tasks
Starting things but finding it hard to finish
Difficulty focusing, or focusing too much on the “wrong” things
Racing thoughts or a busy, restless mind
Emotional ups and downs that feel intense or hard to manage
Feeling frustrated with yourself or like you’re falling short
Over time, this can lead to feelings of self-doubt, burnout, or believing there’s something “wrong” with you.
What to Expect
Starting counselling can bring up uncertainty, especially if you’ve felt misunderstood in the past.
Our first session is a space to talk about what’s been going on for you and to get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit.
You don’t need to have everything organised or clearly explained.
We can begin wherever you are.
Online ADHD Counselling
Working online can offer flexibility and comfort, especially if structure, travel, or time pressures feel challenging.
Sessions take place via Zoom, allowing you to join from a space that feels familiar and manageable.
Many people find that online counselling:
Is easier to fit around changing routines
Reduces the pressure of getting to appointments
Feels more comfortable and less overwhelming
Allows for greater flexibility and consistency
How I Work with ADHD
My approach is understanding, collaborative, and adapted to you.
ADHD is not something that needs to be “fixed”. Instead, we can begin to understand how it shows up for you, and what support might help you feel more steady and able to cope.
Together, we might:
Explore patterns of overwhelm, avoidance, or burnout
Understand emotional responses and sensitivity
Look at how your attention and energy work
Develop ways of working that feel realistic and supportive
Build self-compassion and reduce self-criticism
We work at a pace that feels manageable, without pressure or expectation.
ADHD, Anxiety and Trauma
ADHD doesn’t exist in isolation. Many people also experience anxiety, overwhelm, or have had difficult past experiences.
You might find that:
Anxiety feels constant or difficult to manage
You feel easily overstimulated
You struggle to switch off or rest
We can gently explore how these experiences connect, helping you build a clearer and more compassionate understanding of yourself.
